Christelle aka Xtel

I was mainly influenced by my mother who ended up transforming her passion into her everyday job. I have watched her  catering for events, or even just for the family. She thought me how to appreciate quality food.I grew up in Africa, so we had the luxury to get fresh ingredients from the local markets. The meat was bought straight from the butcher and the fish from the fisherman.

I realized I could define myself as a foodie when I travelled abroad for my studies. I had the opportunity to discover other specialties (Japanese cuisine became one of my favorites) and started viewing food from an other eye. I clearly saw the link between food and culture and found it so fascinating.
